Jabra enables call control with the new Cisco Jabber for Android 11.5 and later and Cisco Jabber for iPhone and iPad 11.5 and later - the latest step in the continued integration of Jabra audio devices with Cisco solutions.

With the launch of Cisco Jabber for Android 11.5 and later and Cisco Jabber for iPhone and iPad 11.5 and later, Jabra continues to innovate and is first to announce integrated call control with the Jabra Motion headset series.

Users can now answer or end calls and change volume directly from their Jabra Motion headset. This enable businesses to make an easy choice when it comes to communication devices and increase the productivity and user experience of their end users at the same time.

In the past, Jabra was the first to offer integrated call control with Cisco Jabber 9.6 (Windows).

Jabra’s fully integrated call control with Cisco Jabber for Android 11.5 and later and Cisco Jabber for iPhone and iPad 11.5 and later with Jabra’s Motion series supports the continued integration of Jabra audio devices with Cisco solutions, which enables businesses to make an easy choice when it comes to communication infrastructure and increase the productivity of their end users at the same time.

Jabra continues to innovate and is first to announce integrated call control with Cisco Jabber (MAC) with the release of version 11.7. This is just the latest step in the continued integration of Jabra audio devices with Cisco solutions.

  • Jabra drivers are built into Cisco Jabber (MAC)
  • Jabra enables call control by offering the following via headset:
    • answer/end call
    • change volume
    • mute/unmute from headset

Bluetooth controls in a Jabra Motion headset - the Jabra Motion Bluetooth headsets with firmware version 3.72 or later support Cisco Jabber call control.

For instance, if you have a Cisco Jabber call on hold and you are talking on the second Cisco Jabber call. After you end the second call, you can resume the first call by tapping the Main function button on the Bluetooth device. This feature is supported on Jabra Motion Bluetooth headsets only and requires firmware version 3.72 or later.

The following steps are required for enabling call control support with Jabra Motion:

  • ANDROID & iOS:
    • Make sure the Jabra Bluetooth headset firmware is version 3.72 or later. If not, please follow the upgrade procedure using the Jabra Direct application.
  • ANDROID:
    • Install the Jabra Service app on your Android device using Google Play Store.
    • Connect the Jabra Bluetooth headset with your Android device.
  • iOS
    • Connect the Bluetooth headset and the iPhone via Bluetooth.

Procedure for downloading the Jabra Bluetooth headset firmware version 3.72 is as follows:

  • Go to Jabra Support
  • Search for Jabra Motion.
  • Click on the DOWNLOADS icon.
  • In the DOWNLOAD AREA, go to the WINDOWS section, select the language or region, and click on download.
